MIAMI, FL – November 20, 2013Florida Center For Allergy & Asthma Care (FCAAC) will host a special Thanksgiving Feast for more than 150 individuals with developmental disabilities who attend The WOW Center (formerly known as Community Habilitation Center) on Wednesday, November 27th, 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. Thanks to the generous donation from one of FCAAC’s longtime vendors, Corporate Caterers will be donating all the food for this wonderful holiday event. Also in attendance will be elected officials and supporters of The WOW Center. Volunteer servers will be on-hand to serve throughout the event. 

“We are grateful to be able to provide the individuals of The WOW Center a joyful Thanksgiving lunch”, said Sharon Peña, COO of Florida Center For Allergy & Asthma Care. 

Florida Center For Allergy & Asthma Care has 18 centers throughout South Florida.  The Centers specialize in the testing and treatment of adults and children who suffer from allergies, asthma and other disorders of the immune system. FCAAC not only cares about its patients and staff, but also strongly believes in giving back to the community.                       

The WOW Center, formerly known as Community Habilitation Center, was created 40 years ago by a small group of parents of children with developmental disabilities. The organization assists more than 150 adults with disabilities from Miami-Dade County who range in ages 21-71.
